H.R. 7959, the IRS Whistleblower Program Improvement Act, passed 346-10 with a breakdown of D 183-1 and R 162-9. In the Senate, members voted 54-37 to invoke cloture on the nomination of Robert Cekada to be Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. The cloture vote (senate-119-2-106) saw a party breakdown of D 5-36 and R 48-0.
