Background
Rick Crawford was born on January 22, 1966. Before entering politics, he worked as a rodeo cowboy until a serious injury in 1993 led him to transition into a career as a rodeo radio announcer. He also owned a radio station and pursued a music career, releasing a country album titled Crackin' Out in 1994.

Before entering public office, Rick Crawford worked as a rodeo cowboy, musician, and radio station owner. A member of the Republican Party, he has served as the U.S. representative for Arkansas's 1st congressional district since 2011. He was elected to serve as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee for the 119th Congress.
