Background
Marjorie Taylor Greene was born on May 27, 1974. In 2002, she and her then-husband purchased her father's general-contracting company, Taylor Commercial, where she later served as chief financial officer. She also worked as a part-time CrossFit coach and co-founded a gym called CrossFit Passion before becoming a writer for several websites and a moderator for a conservative organization.
Political career
A businesswoman and writer for several websites, Marjorie Taylor Greene entered politics as a first-time candidate when she was elected to Congress in 2020 following the retirement of incumbent Tom Graves. She was first sworn in as the representative for Georgia's 14th congressional district in 2021 and won reelection in 2022 and 2024. A member of the Republican Party, she served in the House until her resignation effective January 5, 2026.
