Joshua Simmons of Virginia was confirmed as General Counsel of the Central Intelligence Agency in a 53-47 vote (senate-119-2-2), with Republicans voting 53-0 and Democrats voting 0-45. Sara Bailey of Texas was confirmed as Director of National Drug Control Policy in a 52-48 vote (senate-119-2-3); the party breakdown was R 52-1 and D 0-45. Additionally, the House of Representatives conducted a quorum call (house-119-2-1) which passed 0-0.
